What Is SASRA?
SASRA exists to provide sporting, social and recreational facilities and opportunities for its members. The membership currently has over 7,500 members from West Cumbria local community. SASRA is proud of its historical links in the West Cumbria Area.
Within our website you will find further information about all the benefits currently on offer to members. Those interested in joining an Affiliated Section should first of all join SASRA by filing in the Application Form and then contact the section in which you are particulary interested.
Members Services
- Sporting and Recreational Sections
- 1000 Club - Monthly Lottery Draw for which there are annual cash prizes of £80,850 and the chance to win £10,000 quarterly. Tickets are £4.50 per month.
- Discounts - from local companies which range from health & beauty, household and entertainment including discounts with South Lakes Animal Park Camelot and large discounts on motor vehicles.
- Trips - Value for money weekend breaks are organised, which include coach travel from local pickup points, central located hotels in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London and top price tickets to see some West End Musicals. Other trips include Disney on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice.
- Licensed Social Clubs - The Falcon Club, Egremont and Windscale Club, Seascale both of which have large function rooms available to members for christenings, weddings etc. Both clubs run a successful loyalty scheme.
- Swimming - sessions are held on Friday evenings between 8:00pm and 9:00pm at the Hensingham Swimming Pool.
