SASRA Angling Club has the rights from the NDA to fish the west side of the River Calder from Duke's Way Bridge approximately 1 1/2 miles north to Knocking Wood (with the exception of the Sella Park House Hotel stretch of the river). The river enjoys runs of Sea Trout from May and Salmon from June.
Sellafield Archery Club currently has a number of qualified coaches and is keen to attract beginners as well as experienced archers. Beginner courses are run throughout the year. Full training is given and all equipment is supplied.
The principal interest is in sea fishing however sailing boats are welcome. Beach and boat competitions are regularly held. Boats can be kept in the compound and tractors are available for launching.
SASRA Chess Club are currently meeting on Thursday evenings at 7:00pm in the Conservative Club Whitehaven. All abilities are welcome from complete beginners to experts. Equipment is provided by the club.
Windscale Cricket Club plays in the Second Division of the North Lancashire League. The Club practices and plays at the Falcon Complex where good facilities include an all-weather pitch.
The Windscale Folk Dance Club meet at the Windscale Club every Thursday evening, September to May. The aim of the group is to encourage local interest and active participation in English Folk Dancing.

Windscale AFC are a Community Chartered Standard Football Club. They train and play their matches at the Falcon Complex, Egremont. The club consists of Open Age, Ladies, Senior and Junior Football Teams.
The Golf Society has over 80 members who play on Fridays from April to September at Seascale Golf Club. In addition to this, 3 outings take place at Penrith (27 holes), Ulverston (27 holes) and Silloth (36 holes).
Keswick West Cumbria Men's Hockey section meet for training at Cockermouth School on Wednesday evenings 6:00-8:00pm. Keswick Ladies Hockey Section train on Mondays at 7:00-9:00pm.
Indoor bowls (short mat bowling only) is based in the Sports Hall at the Windscale Club. A club evening is held every Sunday at 7:00pm from September to March.
The Music & Arts Society exists to present classical music concerts to a full professional standard and has promoted high quality chamber concerts and arts event in Cumbria since the early 1950s. Most of the events in the 2012-13 season wil be in The Egremont Market Hall (a full list will be attached in the very near future). All concerts start at 8.00 pm
The WIndscale Rifle Club shoots at its indoor range at Drigg and holds an MoD licence to use Warcop Military Range. It caters for small bore, full bore and Black Powder shooters.
The clubs activities include Table Top Roleplaying, Live Roleplaying and Wargames. The club holds regular meetings in the function room of the Falcon Club, starting at 7:30pm on Mondays. Anyone is welcome to turn up and play.
Greengarth RUFC now play and train at Gosforth. The team trains on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6.30 pm. The Club competes in Cumbria Cup competitions and Cumbria Leagues.
The Scottish Country Dancing meets every Wednesday from September to the end of April from 7.30 pm at the Windscale Club. There are 20 members with good attendance each week. New members are always welcome.

14 May sees the opening of the Seascale Community Fitness Centre at the Windscale Club, with an investment of over £160,000.
There is an extensive Squash & Fitness facility based within the Falcon Complex, Egremont.
The West Cumbria Branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club meet at Egremont Swimming Pool every Thursday. Members have access to excellent facilities and opportunities to dive in the UK and abroad.
Three all-weather courts adjacent to the Windscale Club ensure that Tennis can be played throughout the year. During the summer, the Club completes in the West Cumbria Leagues on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
